Details
Illusion is a deeply personal work I created during a time when I was grappling with an illness that impaired my vision. The soft blend of orange and gray tones, with blurred vertical streaks cascading like veils, reflects the hazy, dreamlike quality of my perception at the time. The interplay of colors, with orange marks fading into the gray background, symbolizes the fleeting and impermanent nature of existence.
This piece was shaped by my experience of disorientation and introspection, yet painting became a therapeutic process, revealing that art transcends physical and mental limitations. Illusion explores the fluid, subjective nature of reality, inviting viewers to embrace ambiguity and look beyond the surface, as I came to understand that existence itself is an illusion—and that we are existence.
